IBM has announced several new enhancements to the SurePOS model 784 including a superior IntelR technology improving performance 20 to 30% as well as greater energy efficiencies of up to 30%.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced scanperformance enhancements available on all Stratos 2400 five-sided,360°-bioptic scanners. These enhancements enable cashiers to increasespeed and precision when scanning GS1 DataBar™ and high density barcodes, both of which are becoming increasingly prevalent in today’sretail environment.

tekservePOS recently upgrading all ballasts and lighting in its 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse and production area reducing its carbon footprint by 24 cars which equates to over 30% savings in energy bills per year all while providing more and better quality lighting for the technicians and warehouse employees.

Through a combination of an event called The Amazing Retail Race and a tekservePOS internal holiday drive, retailers, vendors and employees filled a holiday wish list for over 40 kids at the Lydia Home and stocked the Safe Family closet.
